Niagara Falls GOING GREEN for LYME AWARENESS

On May 17th the lights on Niagara Falls will be going green for Lyme disease awareness month.

People will be congregating there, coming from various parts of the country to show solidarity and support for the thousands of patients suffering from Lyme disease in CANADA.   Please come out and join us.  Your presence and support means so very much to Lyme patients and their families.  Show them that you care by being there on behalf of those who are bedridden or too ill to be in attendance themselves.

There is a bus going to Niagara from Brampton for this event.  For more information click here.

Have you ever seen the Falls lit up at night?.  Bring your friends and family and make an outing of it!

LYME AWARENESS DAY BRAMPTON 2012

Please visit event website for more information - http://www.lymewalkbrampton.ca/

The Lyme Walk in Chingaucousy Park on May 19, 2012, with a link to the park, the address, and information, can be found on this link: Lyme Walk in Brampton - at the above address.

The core group or committee arranging the walk, is working hard at getting everything sorted out and ready to go on the web. We have had several meetings with the Park events coordinator, we are in email contact with the Brampton City Councillors and others, and we are trying to set everything up to make it easy for people to take part. (*Brampton will proclaim May 2012 Lyme Awareness Month! http://t.co/dga2fRpu )

Those who want to travel the distance, can make arrangements for hotels, or save airmiles, or put a few dollars away every month. Very close to the park is a newly renovated Holiday Inn, and the bus services are very well arranged with stops all around the park. Please post in the Comments on the Lymewalk website if you have specific questions or recommendations!

(Marlene says:)
"Volunteers so far are doing all the work, donating time, effort and talents. I’m in contact with several forms of media and will continue to do so, but of course the more info that can be sent, the better our chances of getting coverage.

As for funds – any funds raised after expenses, will be donated to the Canadian Lyme Disease Foundation, charitable organization numbered 864437603RR0001.
Caledon proclaimed May as Lyme Awareness Month 2012!
