  2. I watched W-5 and agree that more should be done to raise awareness of ticks and their illnesses, especially with climate change.

I have a suggestion : Why not extend your lobbying efforts to all the deans of all the Schools of Medecine in all Canadian Universities?

  3. Further to the W-5 report on the many failures to diagnose Lyme disease, may I suggest that an MPP of the affected regions be lobbied? The purpose would be to have an MPP introduce before the Ontario legislature a PRIVATE MEMBERS' BILL amending the Health Protection and Promotion Act , so that Lyme disease be added to the definition of "virulent disease" and that section 10 be amended to require every Medical Officer of Health to inspect his region and take necessary measure to monitor the occurrence of Lyme disease.

In our society governed by the rule of law, only legal binding action can force the government to be responsible. With climate change, there will be more ticks, more Lyme disease, more misdiagnosis and more human tragedies. Our government needs to act NOW.

Hi my daughter is 19 and has LYMES--she was first told when her symptoms first started she has ~MS~and my stomach just told me no and don't stop. W5 aired the show about LYMES and everything started to make more sense to us. I found out about Dr.Boucher from Port Hawkesbury and was so thrilled finally a doctor who would listen and not be critical. Taylor is doing so much better, she is on Doxycycline and Flagyl and lots of vitamins..everyday she is improving and Im so grateful..Thank you for W5 airing this program and finding Dr.Boucher this saved my Daughters life..

I need to know where to take my sister. She is 35 and has 80% of the chronic symptoms for Lyme Disease. She had a tick in her leg in the soft tissue years ago and has had problems since shortly thereafter, and the DR's here in Ottawa say IT DOES NOT EXIST HERE! Feed me some info please please please we are desparate.

  10. Thankyou so much for your accurate reporting on this horrible disease...I am from Halifax,Nova Scotia in a non endemic region (l0l)(and not Bedford,NS either) I was bit by a tick, removed sac, had bullseye rash, false Elisa test, over 50 corrulating symptoms, refused to be seen by demand by CDC Halifax... I have suffered for two years and by chance watched this W5 episode.... and I cried my entire heart out watching this... because it all made sense to me and I finally understood why the Dr.s were throwing me to the curb. Thankyou to David Leggit - A true inspiration, Canlyme Jim Wilson/Larry Burke - for never giving up the fight and all your efforts, Dr. Ben Boucher for literally saving my life, having a conscience, and doing the right thing morally, risking your license to treat little ole me...I cannot adequatly convey how humbled I am.
Thankyou W5 this segment saved my life...and also a big Thanks for the other Lymies from the East Coast of Canada who are to sick to post-I also speak for them.....forever indebted
    Ingrid from NS

  11. Im totally frustrated tonight. After a year and a half of suffering, NUMEROUS tests, and lots of specialists...I have been told I have Fibromyalgia, and the specialist today...told me if I lost weight and exercised vigorously for 6 days per week...my Fibro would go away..
I think I have Lyme Disease and I cant seem to get anyone to help me...I feel lost in the system....
